John Shiffman is an investigative reporter for Reuters, the world’s largest news organization. A two-time finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, he is a lawyer and a New York Times best-selling author. His work with colleagues has triggered criminal investigations, government reform and billions of dollars in aid to the most vulnerable members of society. In April 2020, he was one of the first journalists to report extensively on the risks of Legionella growth and Legionnaires’ disease as a consequence of sudden mass building closures during the pandemic. His honors include the Gerald Loeb Award, the Thurgood Marshall Award, the Hillman Prize and the Shadid Award for Ethics. He has written two non-fiction books: Operation Shakespeare, published by Simon & Schuster, and Priceless, published by Crown and co-authored with FBI agent Robert K. Wittman. Priceless is a New York Times best-seller and has been published in 11 languages.
